Eliza Geddes is an abstract painter living in Locust Valley, NY. Using unconventional materials: house paint, a foam brush and a putty knife she creates a multidimensional experience. Geddes received an MA in art from New York University.
Her work has been exhibited in prestigious galleries including, Findlay Galleries, Manhasset, New York, Mulry Fine Art, West Palm Beach, Franklin Riehlman Fine Art, New York City, Holster Projects, London as well as her 2021 J. Mackey exhibition "Icons & Imagery in East Hampton and 2022 J. Mackey solo show at Well Made Home in Palm Beach.
A favored artist among prominent designers, Geddes has been featured in publications including Elle Decor, Cottages and Gardens, London's Matchbox magazine and Flavorpill. Her work is also in several private collections across the country including the homes of A-list celebrities and a commissioned portrait for a world renowned leader in finance at their global headquarters. Geddes paintings are also featured at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach.
Major influences in Geddes' work have been Antoni Tapies, Robert Rauschenberg, Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner and Cy Twombly.
